Australia Chapter

About

The Australia Chapter connects Chartered Market Technician® (CMT) Association members and candidates across Sydney, Melbourne, and other regions within Australia. It serves as a national platform for professional development, networking, and advocacy specifically tailored to the Australian financial markets. The Chapter organizes local events, technical analysis presentations, and candidate support initiatives while ensuring alignment with both local regulations and global CMT Association standards. By fostering collaboration among members, employers, regulators, and educational institutions, the Chapter advances the recognition and practice of technical analysis in Australia.

Mission

The Australia Chapter advances the CMT designation as the recognized standard for technical analysis expertise and ethical conduct within the Australian financial industry. It delivers value by facilitating high-quality professional development, local networking opportunities, and targeted support for CMT Program candidates. The Chapter upholds principles of integrity, relevance, and collaboration by engaging with regulators, financial media, and academic partners to promote technical analysis nationally. Through consistent governance and volunteer leadership, it cultivates a cohesive community that strengthens members’ professional growth and elevates the visibility of the CMT charter throughout Australia.
