About

The China Chapter serves as the national hub for Chartered Market Technician® (CMT) Association members and candidates across mainland China. It connects local practitioners to each other and the global CMT community through in-person networking, educational events, and candidate support. The Chapter advocates for the adoption of the CMT Program as the professional standard for technical analysis within China’s dynamic financial markets. It provides governance oversight for city-level Communities and fosters partnerships with regulators, financial media, and institutions to elevate the discipline’s profile. By aligning local activities with the global mission, the Chapter ensures consistent standards and engagement across the region.

Mission

The China Chapter advances the CMT Association’s mission by promoting disciplined, rules-based technical analysis throughout China’s financial sector. It achieves this by organizing professional networking events, facilitating educational presentations, and supporting candidates within the region. The Chapter upholds values of professionalism, integrity, and global standards while maintaining compliance with local governance and regulatory requirements. Through strategic collaboration with regulators, media, and institutional partners, it advocates for recognition of the CMT Program as the benchmark for market analysis expertise. The Chapter also provides leadership and governance for city Communities, ensuring consistent member engagement and program delivery nationwide. Its efforts create a cohesive, informed community that strengthens the role of technical analysis in China’s evolving markets.
