Switzerland Chapter

About

The Switzerland Chapter serves as the national hub for Chartered Market Technician® (CMT) Association members and candidates within Switzerland's financial sector. It comprises active professional members, including a strong representation of Charter Holders, who collaborate to advance technical analysis in the region. The Chapter organizes educational events, supports local candidates, and fosters professional networking tailored to institutional asset managers and private wealth professionals. By promoting technical analysis integration into systematic and quantitative strategies, the Chapter strengthens the CMT designation's relevance in one of Europe’s key financial markets. It also liaises with regulators and financial media to advocate for the discipline’s recognition and application.

Mission

The Switzerland Chapter advances the CMT Association’s mission by delivering specialized educational programming and facilitating high-level networking opportunities that address the unique needs of Switzerland’s sophisticated investment community. It upholds values of precision, institutional relevance, and intellectual rigor by curating events that explore advanced technical analysis methodologies beyond foundational concepts. The Chapter supports candidates through local study groups and resources, ensuring alignment with the global CMT Program standards. It fosters collaboration among city-level Communities and maintains governance oversight to ensure consistent quality and compliance. Through engagement with regulators, media, and industry stakeholders, the Chapter promotes the adoption and recognition of technical analysis as a critical component of rules-based investment strategies. Ultimately, it cultivates a vibrant professional network that reinforces the CMT designation as a mark of expertise in the Swiss financial market.
