United Kingdom Chapter

About

The United Kingdom Chapter serves as the national hub for Chartered Market Technician® (CMT) Association members across the UK, focusing on advancing technical analysis within one of the world's leading financial centers. The chapter organizes local events, educational presentations, and networking opportunities primarily in London, fostering a professional community engaged with the CMT Program. It supports candidates preparing for the CMT designation by providing resources and study groups, while maintaining governance standards aligned with regional and global Association policies. By connecting members, regulators, and financial institutions, the chapter promotes the practical application of technical analysis in UK markets and supports the CMT Association’s mission at a national level.

Mission

The United Kingdom Chapter commits to delivering targeted educational programming and institutional networking that advance the professional use of technical analysis among its members. It upholds rigorous standards by collaborating with recognized experts and financial institutions to ensure content relevance and quality. The chapter values professionalism, knowledge sharing, and community engagement, providing direct support to CMT candidates and facilitating connections across the UK’s financial ecosystem. Through consistent governance and partnership with the Regional Community Development Committee, it fosters a vibrant and informed membership base. Ultimately, the chapter aims to sustain the credibility and recognition of the Chartered Market Technician® designation within the UK, equipping members to apply technical analysis effectively in their roles.
