India Chapter

About

The India Chapter is the national body representing the CMT Association in the Asia-Pacific region, specifically across the Indian subcontinent. It connects a rapidly expanding network of technical analysis professionals, candidates, and academics, facilitating local events, educational sessions, and candidate support. The Chapter serves as a strategic bridge between the CMT Association and key stakeholders such as regulators, financial media, and institutional employers in India. By fostering engagement beyond city-level communities, it advances the recognition and adoption of the Chartered Market Technician® (CMT) designation within the country’s evolving financial markets.

Mission

The India Chapter advances the CMT Association’s mission by promoting technical analysis as a core competency within India’s financial industry. It delivers this through organizing professional networking events, educational presentations, and candidate support tailored to the local market. The Chapter upholds values of advocacy, education, and institutional collaboration, working closely with regulators, academic institutions, and financial media to enhance the visibility and credibility of the CMT Program. By maintaining governance standards and supporting volunteer leadership across city Communities, the Chapter ensures consistent, high-quality engagement for members and candidates. Ultimately, it seeks to establish the CMT designation as a recognized and valued credential for market professionals throughout India.
