Women in Technical Analysis (WTA) is a global subcommittee within CMT Association focused on advancing the role and visibility of women in technical analysis and leadership across the financial industry. The group comprises women members and allies who collaborate to foster professional networks, deliver targeted programming, and advocate for increased female representation in leadership positions within the Association. WTA develops initiatives that support career advancement, mentorship, and professional equity, while advising CMT Association on gender inclusion practices. By addressing barriers and promoting visibility, WTA contributes to a more diverse and innovative technical analysis community aligned with the CMT Association mission.

Mission

The mission of Women in Technical Analysis (WTA) is to empower and support women in technical analysis by providing a dedicated forum for networking, mentorship, and career development. WTA develops and delivers targeted programs that enhance professional growth and increase female representation in leadership roles within the CMT Association and the broader financial sector. The committee upholds values of empowerment, visibility, and equity, advocating for the recognition of women’s achievements and advising the Association on inclusive practices. Through these efforts, WTA aims to reduce professional barriers and foster a more diverse, innovative community that reflects the evolving landscape of technical analysis.

The Group Experience

CMT Association committees are standing bodies of charterholders who steward a specific function of the Association — curriculum, ethics, governance, programming, and more. Committee members are appointed based on qualifications and experience.
