The Technology & Data Intelligence Committee advises the Board of Directors on the strategic direction of CMT Association's technology and data infrastructure. Composed of members with expertise in information technology, cybersecurity, and data governance, the committee ensures that the Association's digital platforms remain secure, modern, and aligned with the needs of a global, digital-first membership. It oversees major technology investments, evaluates emerging technologies, and guides data governance policies to enhance operational efficiency and member experience. This committee plays a critical role in safeguarding organizational resilience and supporting the CMT Program’s delivery through reliable digital systems.

Mission

The Technology & Data Intelligence Committee’s mission is to provide strategic guidance that ensures CMT Association’s technology and data capabilities support its mission effectively and securely. The committee upholds values of innovation, security, and operational excellence by overseeing IT strategy, data governance, and cybersecurity measures. It evaluates emerging technologies for potential application and advises on major technology investments to optimize the member experience and organizational performance. By mitigating digital risks and promoting best practices in data management, the committee helps maintain a trustworthy and efficient digital environment. Its work enables CMT Association to serve its global membership with reliable, scalable, and forward-looking technology solutions.

The Group Experience
SHAPE THE FUTURE OF TECHNICAL ANALYSIS

CMT Association committees are standing bodies of charterholders who steward a specific function of the Association — curriculum, ethics, governance, programming, and more. Committee members are appointed based on qualifications and experience.

Core Responsibilities

  • Advise Board on digital strategy
    Provide strategic guidance to the Board regarding the Association's digital environment to align technology initiatives with organizational goals
  • Maintain modern, secure infrastructure
    Ensure the Association's IT systems are up-to-date, secure, and designed with a digital-first approach to support current and future needs
  • Manage IT strategy and governance
    Oversee the development and implementation of IT policies, data governance frameworks, and cybersecurity protocols to protect assets and information
  • Enhance member experience through technology
    Leverage technology and data intelligence tools to improve operational efficiency and deliver a seamless, reliable experience for members
  • Mitigate digital risks
    Identify and address potential risks related to technology and data to ensure continuity and trust in the Association's digital services
