CMT Association committees are standing bodies of charterholders who steward a specific function of the Association — curriculum, ethics, governance, programming, and more. Committee members are appointed based on qualifications and experience.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage award lifecycleCoordinate all stages of the Charles H. Dow Award process, from call for submissions through final selection and announcement
- Promote original researchEncourage and recognize high-quality, innovative research contributions within the technical analysis community
- Conduct blind judgingImplement a rigorous, unbiased evaluation process to assess submissions without revealing author identities
- Certify award winnersFormally validate and present the selected winning paper(s) to the CMT Association Board for approval
- Advance technical knowledgeSupport the growth and dissemination of the global body of knowledge in technical analysis through the award
Core Activities
- Establish and publicize award criteriaEstablish and publicize award criteria and submission process
- Appoint an independent, expert panel of judges
- Enforce the independence and objectivity of the judges
- Publicize the award, submissions, and winners
- Solicit innovative and practical research submissions
