CMT Association committees are standing bodies of charterholders who steward a specific function of the Association — curriculum, ethics, governance, programming, and more. Committee members are appointed based on qualifications and experience.
Core Responsibilities
- Gatekeep professional membershipServe as the primary authority approving applications for professional membership, ensuring all candidates satisfy established criteria
- Apply membership standardsUphold and enforce the membership requirements as outlined in Bylaws Article 4, maintaining consistency and fairness in evaluations
- Protect designation integritySafeguard the prestige of the Chartered Market Technician® designation by rigorously assessing candidate qualifications and ethical standards
- Verify candidate qualificationsEnsure applicants meet the rigorous standards of professional experience and ethical conduct required for membership
- Recommend admissions improvementsReview and propose updates to admissions criteria and processes, submitting recommendations to the Board for approval
