Amsterdam Community

About

The Amsterdam Community is a local network of technical analysts within the Dutch financial sector, focused on fostering professional development and peer engagement. It comprises Active Professional Members, Affiliate Members, and CMT Program candidates who collaborate through regular in-person meetups, educational sessions, and networking events. This community supports the advancement of technical analysis by providing a platform for knowledge exchange, candidate support, and outreach to local universities and employers. Operating within the EMEA region, the Amsterdam Community aligns with the CMT Association's broader mission to uphold the standards and relevance of the Chartered Market Technician® designation. It serves as a critical hub for strengthening local ties and promoting technical analysis as a respected discipline in the Netherlands' institutional investment landscape.

Mission

The Amsterdam Community exists to cultivate a vibrant, inclusive environment where technical analysts can connect, learn, and advance their expertise within the local market. We organize regular events, including educational talks and networking opportunities, to facilitate knowledge sharing and professional growth. By maintaining active communication channels and supporting CMT Program candidates through study groups and resources, we ensure accessible pathways to technical analysis mastery. We value collaboration, continuous education, and local engagement, working closely with universities and employers to raise awareness of technical analysis and the CMT designation. Our commitment to governance and compliance supports the integrity of our activities, while volunteer leadership sustains a reliable and responsive community presence. Through these efforts, we contribute to the professional development of members and the recognition of technical analysis in the Amsterdam financial ecosystem.
