The Toronto Community serves members and candidates in Canada's largest financial center, focusing on the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). It facilitates in-person networking events, educational presentations, and local outreach to universities and employers to promote technical analysis and the Chartered Market Technician® (CMT) Program. The community acts as a hub for professional engagement, providing resources and support tailored to the regional market while adhering to CMT Association standards. Volunteers and leaders collaborate to maintain a vibrant, inclusive environment that connects technical analysts and fosters career development within the Canadian investment industry.

Mission

The mission of the Toronto Community is to advance the professional and educational interests of CMT Association members and candidates in the GTA by delivering consistent, high-quality local programming. We organize regular meetings featuring industry experts, support candidate study groups, and engage with academic and employer partners to raise awareness of technical analysis and the CMT designation. We uphold values of leadership, expertise, and community integration, ensuring members receive institutional-grade insights and practical resources. Through volunteer-driven initiatives, we cultivate a welcoming and inclusive environment that strengthens local connections and promotes rigorous technical analysis practice. Our work supports the broader goals of the CMT Association by fostering regional excellence and sustaining the integrity of the CMT Program.
