Canada Chapter

About

The Canada Chapter connects Chartered Market Technician® (CMT) Program members and candidates across Canada, spanning diverse financial centers from Toronto to Calgary. It facilitates local, in-person networking and educational events, supports candidate study groups, and serves as a national forum to promote technical analysis. The chapter provides governance oversight for city-level communities, ensuring consistent standards and volunteer support. By engaging regulators, financial media, and employers, it upholds the relevance and recognition of the CMT designation within Canada’s financial industry.

Mission

The mission of the Canada Chapter is to advance technical analysis excellence by uniting Canadian CMT Association members and candidates through professional networking, education, and advocacy. The chapter fosters collaboration among regional communities and promotes the value of the CMT designation to national stakeholders. It upholds principles of expertise, integrity, and inclusivity while providing resources and support tailored to the Canadian market. Through regular engagement with regulators and media, the chapter strives to enhance recognition of technical analysis as a vital discipline. Ultimately, it seeks to strengthen the professional standing of its members and the broader CMT Association within Canada.
