It facilitates regional networking, educational events, and candidate study groups, ensuring consistent member experiences and fostering strong community ties. The committee serves as a vital link between local members, employers, and the broader CMT Association, advancing the recognition of the Chartered Market Technician® designation throughout the region.

Mission

The mission of the EMEA Chapter Development Committee is to strengthen and expand the CMT Association's presence across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa by tailoring global objectives to regional needs. The committee supports chapter leaders and volunteers in delivering high-quality member engagement, educational programming, and candidate resources. It values diversity, adaptability, and professional development, promoting the Chartered Market Technician® designation as the standard of excellence for technical analysis in the EMEA financial community. The Group Experience
SHAPE THE FUTURE OF TECHNICAL ANALYSIS

CMT Association committees are standing bodies of charterholders who steward a specific function of the Association — curriculum, ethics, governance, programming, and more. Committee members are appointed based on qualifications and experience.

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage regional growth
    Oversee the expansion and sustainability of CMT Association chapters across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa to ensure long-term health and presence
  • Standardize member experience
    Ensure a consistent and high-quality experience for members across diverse regulatory and cultural environments within the EMEA region
  • Build institutional partnerships
    Develop and maintain relationships with major firms and institutions to enhance the visibility and value of the CMT designation in EMEA
  • Develop local leadership
    Support and mentor local chapter leaders to foster strong governance and effective chapter operations throughout the region
  • Promote CMT designation
    Position the Chartered Market Technician® credential as the standard of excellence for technical analysis professionals in the EMEA markets
